“Science Fiction / Double Feature” is a 17-minute video essay and ongoing research exploration of how the narrative trope of time travel in television and film parallels first-generation identity formation in the United States.

The project's current state evolved from a short-form essay (formerly titled "Out of Time / Out of Place") that was published in the Digimyths Reader in 2021 by Kevin Cadena.

The text was then adapted into a performance lecture which was presented at the Queens Museum in 2022 before reaching its current phase as a time-based video collage. The lecture was a part of a panel titled "New Devices of Dissemination" and held in collaboration with Adam Zucker and Hyperlink Press.
