Lightning in a Bottle - Learning Guide
2025
Double sided, self-published pamphlet, B&W ink on blue parchtone paper, 8.5 x 11 in
This free learning guide is a companion piece to the experimental documentary and film installation "Lightning in a Bottle". It was distributed at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, between March and April of 2025, as a free takeaway for museum-goers. While the film emphasizes a student-centered perspective on a public school closure, the guide paints a sobering picture of the current state of education divestment in Pittsburgh and beyond.
This guide is co-authored by a collective of former Schenley High School teachers and current Pittsburgh Public School educators. The featured voices focus on who and what remains in the face of school deserts.
